BORN IN 1981

Ethan Rossi

"When I begin to paint, a door opens. Images flow from my mind, guiding my hand into the canvas."

Born in Italy in 1972, Ethan Rossi was deeply influenced by Italian and French artists from a young age. Growing up surrounded by the rich artistic traditions of Europe, he developed a profound appreciation for both romanticism and abstraction. In 1993, while selling artworks in New York City, Ethan encountered the groundbreaking works of Jackson Pollock. This encounter became a turning point in his career, inspiring him to develop his own unique style of expressionist abstract art using oil paints.

Ethan’s artworks are a fusion of Pollock’s energetic and dynamic style, the romantic elegance of Italian and French art, and his own minimalist sensibilities. His paintings invite viewers to immerse themselves in a world of colors and textures, where they can discover their own emotions and interpretations. Each piece is a journey—an exploration of movement, depth, and feeling—crafted with meticulous attention to detail and an intuitive understanding of how colors interact.

For Ethan, painting is not just a creative act but a form of meditation. As he works, he allows his emotions and subconscious to guide his brush, creating pieces that resonate with authenticity and raw energy. His ultimate goal is to evoke a sense of wonder and introspection in his audience, encouraging them to find their own stories within his vibrant canvases.
